WorldRiderZ – Riding for Chronic Kidney Disease
The WorldRiderZ journey was established to raise funds for research and treatments of Chronic Kidney Disease through the staging of a motorbike journey from Sydney to Paris.
Each year children and adults are increasingly affected by Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and renal failure. The condition affects in Australia alone 1 in 7 of the population, and claims people of all ages, including newborns.
The incidence of CKD has doubled in the past 15 years, and today affects 500 million – costing $49 billion annually. Unfortunately, not all sufferers have access to treatment.
WorldRiderZ is a foundation raising funds for the treatment of child and adult renal & urological conditions. The goal is to build a new internet based information-sharing platform connecting doctors & medical staff in major hospitals with remote developing world and impoverished regions. Benefits & breakthroughs will be shared around the world.
